As a student in the Graphic Commercial Art lab, I learned new techniques and fundamental skills in drawing and traditional illustration. I sharpened my skills using graphite, colored pencil, marker, pen and ink, and more. Since graduating from MVCTC in 2011, I found a love of graphite portraits and colored pencil work. Here are a few of my favorite pieces created during my time in the GCA lab, The Modern, and beyond. Like many of my students, I feel like art is a way to cope in times of stress or sadness, something definitely reflected in some of my most recent pieces.
